POSIX cron treats the two day fields specially when both are restricted. The ordinary field checks still need minute, hour and month to match.
Both restricted means OR
A date passes the day test when either its day of month or day of week belongs to the specified set.
A wildcard leaves the other field decisive
When one day field is *, the restricted day field must match; wildcard does not make every date pass alone.
